Mission of The Warren-Walker Fund

We are committed to providing programs in an atmosphere of caring, cooperation, and dedication toward helping each student succeed in the learning process while developing respect for others, confidence, initiative, perseverance, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility.  Financial assistance provides an opportunity for academically qualified children of varying social and economic backgrounds to attend Warren-Walker School.

Warren-Walker School offers financial assistance through The Warren-Walker Fund, an endowment established by the founders of the school. The Fund continues to grow through the generosity of so many benefactors of the school, including our parents and alumni.

The School works in partnership with Independent School Management and the FAST (Financial Assistance for Student Tuition) program in all phases of the application process.

General Guidelines set by FAST are:

  • Only one application is required per family and must include all siblings making application.
  • Parents who are divorced, separated, or have never been married, must complete an application for each household, regardless of custodial arrangement.
  • There is an expectation that when all children in an applicant household reach school age, both parents will be gainfully employed.
  • The income and resources of both parents and/or stepparents is considered when determining the level of assistance.
  • Applicants are encouraged to explain special circumstances in the area provided on the application in order to give the financial assistance committee a clear picture of a family’s financial situation.
  • Admission decisions are independent of the financial assistance process, but every effort is made to run them concurrently.  If not, extensions may be made to the deadlines imposed on the return of an enrollment contract pending a final disposition regarding financial assistance.

Financial Aid for Prospective Families

Because we strive to allocate our resources wisely and fairly, we work with Independent School Management’s Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) program, which provides a need-based financial aid analysis service that includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition.  All information from FAST is kept confidential.  Results are reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee who makes recommendations to the Headmaster based on next year’s budget.  Upon approval by the Headmaster, financial aid offers are then sent to families.

To begin the  application process, please follow the steps below:

  1. Complete the Online Application. The application process is self-guided. Only one application per family is needed, even if you have several children applying to Warren-Walker School. You will set a username and password so that you may save information and return to it at a later date before submitting your application. Online email and a 24/7 helpline is provided.
  2. Unless and extension is granted or you are a late applicant, the online submission deadline is February 15.
  3. After completing the online application you will be required to mail your 2016 tax returns for both state and federal taxes with all schedules and W-2’s to:
