Gulls on the Go! Alumni Spotlight: David Lloyd (Class of 2008)

David graduated Warren-Walker School with the class of 2008, and attended St. Augustine High School graduating in May 2012.  He went on to the University of California, Berkeley and graduated in December 2015 with a BA in History. The University of San Diego School of Law was his next endeavor, graduating in May 2021. In July 2021, he passed the California Bar Exam with flying colors.

David is now working as an Associate at Best Best & Krieger’s San Diego office.  “When I started law school, I knew I wanted to work on projects in the public sector because I felt like that was one way I could have a tangible impact on my community.  I am really grateful I was able to join BB&K because they service local government entities and help them resolve issues they face and provide services for the communities they serve.” David lives in Point Loma, and he has been with his partner, Kristin for almost 11 years.  They met in high school -- he at St. Augustine and she at Our Lady of Peace.

“When I think about my time at Warren-Walker, I can honestly say that I enjoyed every day that I spent with my classmates and teachers.  Everyone cared about your well-being and growth, and we were all given opportunities to shine, whether that was in plays, concerts, student council, academics, or class events like the 7th grade Tea Ceremony.  Looking back, I now realize how unusually enriching my classes were - no matter the subject or grade level, our teachers found ways to make learning more active and enjoyable, and there are literally too many examples to just choose one.  I have so many fond memories - Mrs. Neil’s plays at the Lower School, the dynamic duo of Mr. I and Mr. Myers in fifth grade, our class camping trips in Middle School...I am grateful that I was able to spend my formative years at such a special place with so many truly special people.”
