A Day in the Life...
Yesterday was a perfect example of why I love my job.
Four 8th grade girls bounced into my office saying the crop in our garden was ready to harvest and could they pick the vegetables. I was thrilled they had noticed we had a garden. They were planning a salad for dinner.
There was a phone message on the machine from a parent thanking us for doing what we do and being so supportive.
A 7th grade student presented me with an outline of a club he would like to start at school and we worked out the details.
Our first annual Pancake Breakfast is coming up on Friday, March 15 and we have parents and teachers volunteering to help organize and man the event.
Lauren Kaplan, the 8th grade student who organized the Team from Warren-Walker to Finish Chelsea's Run. Warren-Walker is being recognized as organizing the school with the highest percentage of participation. Chelsea's Light will cater a lunch later in the Spring.
I drove the girls to their baseketball practice.
And the day went on...
