Off to an Energetic Start
Yesterday reminded me of the Pop Up Stores that have been popular the last few years. We had a Pop Up service project. Jillian Roberts asked if we could support the relief effort for the victims of the Cabo hurricane. So we are! Please bring in non-perishable supplies during the next week and they will be taken to Baja the following week. I love that initiative!
The halls are a buzz with the Student Council elections - they promise to be lively!
Lots of enthusiasm aruond here as students are adjusting to the school routine. To be successful there are a few habits to get into from the start. A good night's sleep, a homework routine, healthy dinners, and good time management will all help direct your kids to a less stressful school year.
September 23rd will be a busy day. It starts with Donuts with the Dean at 7:45 a.m. It is Picture Day, and ends with Where Do We Go From Here? where I talk about the process of choosing a high school. Even though this evening is directed to the 8th grade all parents are welcome to attend.
Back to School Night is important for all parents, including 8th grade. Even though many of the teachers are the same, you'll want to hear the programs and expectations.
So, as always, there is a lot happening here. I look forward to seeing you soon!
