8th Grade had a Fantastic Time on the East Coast!

The 8th grade boarded a plane to tour the East Coast last week.  First Stop was Washington DC, students visited the many historic monuments along The National Mall.  They visited the Smithsonian museums and even had a chance to see the White House and the Capitol Building.  Next stop was Mount Vernon, home of George Washington, and then the Gettysburg National Battlefield. They boarded the bus to New York City to take in a Broadway show – The School of Rock see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the 9-11 Memorial, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Times Square, Central Park, and Rockefeller Center to see the view from the Top of the Rock.  Finally they were off to Boston.  Here they went to Plimouth Plantation, participated in the Tea Party, were witches in Salem, and ventured on the Freedom Trail.  All told, they saw many important and historic sites - all brought to life by the accompaniment of their History teacher, Mr. Saunders.  This is a trip that they will remember forever!
