Building a School Community
If our experiences at the three Back-to-School Nights are any indicator, our communities feel just right! At each we acknowledged our strong 85-year legacy and gathered with parents to discover what this means for our students during the 2016-2017 school year. Our teachers shared their passion, their plans, their hopes, and their promises.
When we see adults relishing a night at school, we are confident that positive relationships are being established and the seeds have been planted for further building of trust, open communication, mutual support, and a growth mindset. These qualities lay the foundation for a grand year of success, and attach the third “leg” – the parent/family constituency – of our symbolic “stool” alongside the student one and the School’s. Now, we can all settle down comfortably and enjoy the year!
