Kindergarten Bound for England Today!
Up, up and away!
The Kindergarten classes kicked off their social studies unit, "Places Around the World," with a flight across the Atlantic Ocean. After having their passports stamped, Flight #1932 took off in the capable hands of the pilot, Captain Volker on his 27th annual flight to England. Passengers were welcomed, directed to their assigned seats and stowed their luggage in preparation for takeoff. There was in-flight entertainment by the captain and snacks by a flight attendant (a.k.a teachers).
Students will visit a new country every month and learn about some of the history, traditions, and language of each country. Some of the highlights of their worldwide tour are the English High Tea, Japanese Tea Ceremony, and a French Picnic. Bon Voyage Kindergartners!
